This never happens. I’m home writing with a doggie on my lap. Our campus closed today, due to snow and Ice. Just flat shut down and in fact so did every other post–secondary institution in the western half of the state. Now, those of you from anywhere but here – the Pacific Northwest – will not think this extraordinary or even very interesting, but we are all in a twist here over our little arctic blast.
It started snowing yesterday, then did a flash freeze (?). Some folks didn’t get home from work for 12 hours, buses still aren’t able to run, and our football team played in the snow for the first time ever – at home. Kind of weird – but I’ll take it.
