...And it starts - the insanity and hypocrisy of the Republicans! Today we learn that Sarah Palin's teenage daughter is five months pregnant - out of wedlock. Now her marital status means very little to me as one who is denied the option of marriage, period. But to social conservative Republicans with their “abstinence only” rigid family values, this ought to be a big one – and I am guessing it won’t be because of their trademark "do as I say not as I do" mentality.
The hypocrisy of their sexual values bother me; when it is about who I sleep with, it’s “an abomination” - but when it is about one of their candidates it’s “a family issue” or “a private matter” that should be off limits. Yeah, right.
And once again…young Ms. Palin has a choice. She lives in a country where she has a choice – to get married or not – to keep the baby or not. Another example of the rights she has - that her own mother would take away from the rest of us – given the chance.
