I suspect this will end up being the first of many rants, pounded out here, between now and November 4th. Honestly, I resisted as long as possible. Ignored the obvious gaffs during the primary season. Kept out of the whole Hillary vs. Barack, party-unity, line-in-the-sand, do-or-die, cocktail-overload, oh-so-polite, water-cooler-verbal-vomit, democratic debate. I observed - as did many - with faith that the process would would reveal a sincere and reasonable contest for all Americans to participate in.
...But they finally got me. I'm in it now. I ordered my Barack buttons and stickers, today - because the American political tragicomedy presented by the Republicans, yesterday - is more than I can abide.
I am struck dumb by ...Sarah Palin. The most frightening and breathlessly bizarre choice since Dan Quayle. Go ahead and expect more on this from me. The country has truly lost it.
Ad absurdum
